Why essential oils?
Like many moms who lean towards organic and natural solutions, I had always been looking for ways to support my family’s health, everyday… from the things we eat, to the supplements we take, to non-toxic cleaning products and personal care.
In addition I’m always striving to balance the benefits of modern Western medicine with the wisdom of alternative approaches. I found myself frustrated with doctors who only wanted to prescribe drugs to treat a symptom, without getting to the root of the problem, or working towards true health and vitality. Can you relate?
Truthfully I thought essential oils were simply a “nice” added aroma in a candle or some Lavender for relaxing in the bath. I had no idea of their true ability to effect our bodies on a cellular level!
Until one day, a friend introduced me to doTERRA. I had been suffering for 6 months with respiratory issues that nothing seemed to solve. She gave me samples of the Breathe and OnGuard blends. After just 3 days of using the oils I was done! I was amazed and also needed to understand more!
The rest is history, as they say. I took a deep dive into the science of Aromatherapy, learning about the difference in quality of essential oils, how they are sourced, safe uses and how they work with the body. I began to understand how the oils “speak the same language” as our bodies.
